We are currently looking for a Senior Naval Architect to join our
clients growing Surface Ship Team. The main purpose of the role
is to provide naval architecture, ship design and ship
arrangement skills, and to act as the technical lead in these
specific areas, within the team.
You will need to have a
degree, or equivalent, in either Naval Architecture or a Marine
engineering related subject. Candidates will also need to have
previous experience of ship design and broad naval architecture
experience including stability assessment, ship layout and basic
ship structure understanding. Knowledge of commercial ship
design and class approval procedures (e.g. Lloyds) is desirable,
as is Chartered Engineer status.
The successful candidate
will be working on a wide range of ship design projects,
including amphibious vessels, warships and
auxiliaries.
